Kitchen Hand/Dishie Permanent Part Time

About the role

IMMEDIATE START

This is a hands-on Kitchen Hand / Dishie role suited to someone who works efficiently, takes initiative, maintains high cleanliness standards and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will join a small but busy kitchen team in an ongoing, year-round position.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, sanitise and put away dishes, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment

• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised and running efficiently throughout service

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen benches, equipment, floors and work areas

• Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and storage when required

• Manage rubbish, recycling and general kitchen cleaning duties

• Complete end-of-shift cleaning and closing procedures

• Assist chefs during food service on occasion, including preparation and plating as directed

• Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures

About you

• Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen is essential

• Current Food Handler Certificate or higher qualification required

• Reliable availability for Thursday–Sunday shifts

• Able to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy Friday and Saturday services

• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks

• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene and organisation

• Proactive, punctual and able to work independently without constant supervision

• Team-oriented, flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
