Not your average warehouse job

Our Newcastle branch is growing fast, and we need someone who can keep up.

This isn’t a role where you stand at the same bench all day. You’ll be picking and packing orders, serving customers and tradies at the counter, and assembling, testing and inspecting lifting, rigging and height safety gear.

Get in now and you’ll help shape how this branch runs. As Newcastle grows, so do you.

Why this one’s worth your time

•           You’re helping build a branch, not just joining one. Your ideas on layout, stock and how things get done will be heard and used.

•           Every day is different. Warehouse, workshop and trade counter, plus the odd delivery run when the branch needs it. If you get bored easily, this is your job.

•           You’ll learn skills most storepeople never get. The lifting and rigging gear we supply keeps mines, construction sites and rail networks running safely. You’ll learn how it’s assembled, inspected and certified.

•           Room to grow, if you want it. Once you know the gear and our systems, there’s scope to take on more as the branch grows. If you’d rather stick to what you’re good at, that’s fine too. Good warehouse people are hard to find, and we look after them.

•           Family owned since 1998. You get the feel of a tight local team, with a national business behind you.

What you’ll be doing

In the warehouse and workshop

•           Picking, packing and dispatching orders accurately and on time

•           Receiving and putting away stock, and keeping the place clean, safe and organised

•           Assembling lifting and rigging products (we’ll train you)

•           Supporting inspection and testing work to Australian Standards

•           Stocktakes and keeping inventory accurate

At the trade counter

•           Serving walk-in customers, working out what they need and getting them sorted fast

•           Answering the phone and handling enquiries, and passing on sales leads to the team

•           Learning to process sales, quotes and orders in our system

When the branch needs it

•           Loading and unloading trucks

•           Jumping in on the occasional delivery or pick-up around Newcastle and the Hunter

•           Supporting our inspectors on customer sites with inspections and installations

What we’re looking for

Experience helps. Attitude matters more.

You’ll need

•           A current driver’s licence

•           To be comfortable dealing with customers, face to face and on the phone

•           To be fit for hands-on warehouse work

•           Reliability, good organisation, and the drive to take ownership without being chased

•           Basic computer skills

•           A safety-first mindset, every time

It’ll put you ahead if you have

•           Storeperson or warehouse experience

•           Trade counter, hardware or industrial sales experience

•           A forklift licence (LF)

•           Knowledge of lifting, rigging or height safety gear

Don’t tick every box? If you’ve got the work ethic and the right attitude, we’ll teach you the rest. If you’ve got the experience too, even better. Tell us about it and we’ll recognise it.

What’s in it for you

•           A full-time role, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

•           Full training in lifting and rigging products, inspection and testing

•           Uniform and PPE supplied

•           A real career path in a branch that’s going places

•           A team that looks after each other

We guarantee confidentiality.
