Housekeeper / Household Assistant
Housekeeper / Household Assistant
Launceston & Evandale | Approx. 8-10+ hours per week | Casual
Help us make life a little easier.
We're looking for a reliable, trustworthy and practical Housekeeper / Household Assistant to provide regular help across two family homes and a small office.
We're three busy adults, with no children and two much-loved dogs, looking for someone who can become our regular extra pair of hands and help us stay on top of the things that make everyday life busy.
The role will start at approximately 8-10 regular hours per week across three properties.
There is potential for additional hours for the right person.
About the role
Cleaning will be an important part of the position, but this isn't a role where you'll necessarily work through exactly the same checklist every week.
Depending on what needs doing, your week could include:
General household cleaning
Bathrooms and kitchens
Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
Changing beds and managing linen
Laundry, folding and putting things away
Household organisation
Cleaning and organising fridges, pantries or cupboards
Meal preparation
Washing cars
Washing down fences or outdoor areas
Light weeding and gardening
Office cleaning
Other general household tasks as they come up
We are looking for someone who is flexible, practical and happy to lend a hand with different things when needed.
About you
Finding someone we can trust and feel comfortable having in our homes is incredibly important to us.
We're looking for someone who:
Is reliable, honest and trustworthy
Is friendly, easygoing and a team player
Takes pride in doing things properly
Has good attention to detail
Is happy to pitch in and help where needed
Can use their initiative once they get to know our homes
Is comfortable working independently
Respects our homes, belongings and privacy
Has reliable transport
Genuinely loves dogs and is comfortable having them around while working
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience would be great, but attitude, reliability and finding the right person matter just as much to us.
Suitable references and a National Police Check will be required.
We're hoping to find someone who will be with us long-term and eventually become our go-to person for keeping things running smoothly and taking some of the everyday workload off our plates.
If you're practical, reliable, love dogs, enjoy a bit of variety and are naturally the kind of person who likes to pitch in and help, we'd love to hear from you.
