Warehouse workers & Forklift operators

Workforce Extensions Scoresby's clients in the Sth East & East of Melbourne require Warehouse Workers & Forklift Operators.

Warehouse Worker responsibilities:

• Receive, unload and check incoming goods against delivery dockets and purchase orders.
• Pick, pack, label and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Move, stack and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Perform stock put-away, replenishment and inventory movements.
• Use RF scanners, computers or warehouse management systems where required.

Essential- Warehouse Workers:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment.
• Experience with loading and unloading containers.
• Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of stock control, order picking and dispatch processes.

Forklift Operations responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, lift, stack and position goods.
• Load and unload pallets, trucks and containers in accordance with workplace procedures.
• Complete pre-start inspections and report faults, damage or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure loads are stable, secure and within the forklift's rated capacity.
• Operate only equipment for which the employee is appropriately licensed, trained and authorised.

Essential- Forklift Operator:

• Current, appropriate forklift High Risk Work Licence for the forklift work being performed.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift safely and competently.
• Understanding of warehouse procedures, manual handling and workplace safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and paperwork.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and a responsible attitude.
