Yardman/Forklift Operator

Yardman - Forklift Operator

CPM Engineering - Gympie | Part of The Davey Group

Love working outdoors, being on the move and keeping things running? CPM Engineering in Gympie is looking for a Yardman to keep our yard humming.

CPM is a well-established engineering and fabrication business, now part of The Davey Group, a diversified Queensland manufacturing, fabrication and construction group. Steel comes in, fabricated product goes out, and the yard is where it all connects. No two days look the same, the work is hands-on, and you will be backed by a friendly, experienced crew.

What You'll Be Doing

●        Driving the forklift to move steel, plate and finished fabrications around the yard and workshop

●        Unloading incoming deliveries and checking them against paperwork

●        Loading trucks and trailers so our finished work gets to customers safely and on time

●        Getting the right materials to the right part of the workshop at the right time

●        Keeping the yard tidy, organised and safe, because a good yard makes everyone's day easier

●        Pitching in with general workshop and site duties as needed

What You'll Bring

●        A current forklift licence (essential)

●        A current truck licence (a big plus)

●        Previous yard, warehouse, dispatch or materials handling experience, ideally in fabrication or industrial settings

●        A safety-first attitude and a reliable, turn-up-on-time work ethic

●        A team player who is happy to get stuck in and handle manual work

●        A current driver's licence

●        Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

What's In It For You

●        Full-time, secure work with a business that is growing

●        Competitive pay based on your experience

●        A supportive crew and a workplace where your effort gets noticed

●        The backing of an established group, with training and career opportunities across The Davey Group

●        A chance to step up if you have your truck licence or want to get it
