Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and web application development to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with .NET 10, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, along with familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile software development methodologies.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

1. C# / .NET Development (3+ Years)

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing and maintaining applications using C# and .NET technologies.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.

• Required experience with .NET 10 and modern ASP.NET Core for developing scalable web applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services.

• Familiarity with asynchronous programming, dependency injection, LINQ, exception handling, and performance optimization.

• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and modernize existing applications built on the .NET Framework.

2. SQL Server Development (3+ Years)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• Strong ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

• Experience with database design, relational data modeling, indexing, execution plans, and query performance tuning.

• Understanding of transactions, data integrity, and database security.

• Familiarity with Entity Framework Core or other ORM technologies is an advantage.

3. Web Application Development

• Experience developing web applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API.

• Understanding of frontend technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, and session management.

• Ability to troubleshoot web application issues across development, QA, and production environments.

4. Azure DevOps and Source Control

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for source control, work item tracking, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and collaborative development practices.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps build and release pipelines, CI/CD processes, and automated deployment workflows.

• Ability to participate in code reviews and follow established development and release procedures.

5. Agile Methodologies

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Understanding of sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Ability to collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to deliver quality software.

• Experience working with user stories, acceptance criteria, task estimation, and iterative software delivery.

6. Communication and Documentation

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

DevOps & Deployment

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

• Automate build, test, and deployment processes

• Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues

Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Work closely with Product Owners, QA, and UX teams

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Security & Compliance

• Apply secure coding practices

• Address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud application deployment.

• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance practices.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and common web application vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with application logging, monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
