Workshop Technician

About the role

We are seeking Workshop Technicians to join our team at Porter Equipment Australia Pty Ltd' in Berrinba QLD. This full-time role is responsible for providing expert maintenance, repair and servicing support for the range of heavy equipment and machinery in our own Heavy Equipment Hire Fleet.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues

• Carry out service and condition inspection reports

• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work completed

• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure efficient workshop operations

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in heavy vehicle/machinery mechanics or a related field

• Experience as a Workshop Technician in the Trades & Services industry

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations
