About the role

Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corp is seeking a Junior Developer to join our growing Information & Communication Technology team. This is a full-time position based in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. As a Junior Developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of our software applications and systems that power our ferry operations. You will work alongside experienced developers to build robust solutions, contribute to code development, and help drive technological innovation across our organisation. What you'll be doing

• Developing, coding, and testing software applications and features under the guidance of senior developers

• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices

• Collaborating with the development team to design and implement new software solutions

• Debugging and troubleshooting software issues, documenting problems and solutions

• Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback to improve code quality

• Assisting in the documentation of technical specifications and software functionality

• Learning and adapting to new technologies, programming languages, and development frameworks

• Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications and systems

• Contributing to the overall success of development projects by meeting deadlines and quality standards

What we're looking for

Graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology or any related course.

• Preferably with at least one (1) or more years of experience in the same field

• Knowledgeable to web designing or front-end and basic functionality

• Has basic knowledge in database management

• Must have an attached portfolio
