Caretaker

About the role

BELMO Group is seeking a reliable, hands-on Caretaker to assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a five-scheme Body Corporate community in Buderim. This role is suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has practical maintenance skills and understands the importance of maintaining common property, shared facilities and grounds to a high standard. Working as part of the onsite management team, you will help ensure the community remains clean, safe, well-maintained and presentable for residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of common property, facilities and outdoor areas.

• Undertake pool maintenance, including routine checks and water quality monitoring.

• Complete general maintenance tasks and minor repairs.

• Assist with gardening, groundskeeping and landscaping upkeep.

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation across common areas, pathways and shared facilities.

• Monitor rubbish areas and assist with bin management.

• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and safety concerns.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

• Assist with contractor access and coordinate onsite maintenance works as required.

• Communicate with Building Management regarding maintenance requirements and property concerns.

About you

• Previous pool maintenance experience is essential.

• Practical general maintenance and repair skills are highly desirable.

• Experience in caretaking, groundskeeping, property maintenance or a similar role will be highly regarded.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining common property.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.

• Professional and approachable when interacting with residents, contractors and team members.

• Able to prioritise tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
