We're looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people to join our small team. With plenty of variety across the venue, we're looking for team members who enjoy working with people and are happy to lend a hand wherever needed.
About the role
This is a varied, hands-on position involving customer service, basic short-order cooking and general venue operations. Some days are busier than others, so we're looking for people who can work efficiently during busy periods and are equally happy to assist with other tasks when things are quieter.
Key responsibilities include:
Welcoming customers, processing payments and assisting with enquiries and bookings
Managing bowling lane allocations and assisting customers with our activities
Taking food orders, preparing and cooking from our basic short-order menu and following safe food handling practices
Serving food and beverages, including the responsible service of alcohol
Cleaning, restocking and maintaining presentation throughout the venue
Assisting with basic bowling equipment, mini golf course and general venue maintenance as required
Working as part of a small team to provide a positive experience for our customers
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Is friendly, reliable and confident dealing with customers
Has a positive attitude, good initiative and a willingness to learn
Is comfortable working across different areas of the business
Can work independently and as part of a team
Has regular weekend, school holiday and public holiday availability
Holds a current RSA certificate or is willing to obtain one within three months of commencing employment
Ideally has previous café, takeaway, snack bar or short-order cooking experience, although training is available for suitable applicants
Availability during the summer school holidays, particularly from 29 December, is essential.
Hours & opportunities
Approximately 8–16 hours per week initially, predominantly weekends
Additional hours available during school holidays, depending on business needs
Immediate start available
For the right person who demonstrates reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn, there may be opportunities for additional regular hours and the potential to transition from casual to permanent part-time employment.
Hourly rates are based on the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award, with above-award rates available depending on experience and responsibilities. Junior rates apply to employees under 20 years of age, with applicable Sunday and public holiday penalty rates paid.
