Roster: Evening shift (1500-2300) and night shift (2300-0700), Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: Level 1 Award Rates (Permanent Part-Time)

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and professional Healthcare Security Officers to join our team at a healthcare facility in the Western Suburbs.

The role is focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors and contractors. This is a permanent part-time position working across a rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.

• Monitor the healthcare facility and respond to security incidents.

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas.

• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.

• Assist healthcare staff with situations involving safety or security risks.

• Monitor access to restricted areas.

• Manage incidents professionally and calmly.

• Complete incident reports and security documentation accurately.

• Provide a professional and helpful presence throughout the facility.

• Work closely with healthcare staff, management and emergency services when required.

• Follow all site security procedures, policies and workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Current and valid security licence.

• Current and valid First Aid certificate and CPR.

• Fully vaccinated, including flu shot.

• Physically fit and able to perform prolonged standing and other static duties as required.

• Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional, reliable and punctual.

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

• Strong focus on patient and staff safety.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
