About the role

This role involves packing orders and deliveries for Tasmanian Shipping Supplies, packing orders and dispatching for Northern customers, and supervising the Upstairs Warehouse and cool rooms and the Upstairs Warehouse Team. You will also be responsible for stock ordering in conjunction with the Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure orders are packed accurately, with all stock marked picked and ticked

• Ensure all weighed items have a weight and anything marked as out of stock is out of stock

• Sign off on all packing slips once they have been checked for accuracy

• In conjunction with the Operations Supervisor, ensure orders are delivered on the day and time specified by Tasmanian Shipping Supplies

• Order any special stock requested by customers and ensure stock is available to fulfil customer orders

• Pack and supervise the packing of customer orders ensuring accuracy and quality

• Organize the dispatch of customer orders for the day and at the time specified by customers

• Ensure cool rooms 10 to 14 are clean and all stock is rotated

• Ensure all bins are free from rubbish and all empty wooden bins are returned to their respective growers by the end of each week

• Phone northern order customers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to check on their orders and ask if there is anything we can do better

About you

• Experience in logistics

• Accurate picking and packing of orders

• Customer service experience

• Teamwork

• Time management

• Inventory control in perishables

• Supervision experience

• Forklift license

• Knowledge of rotation of perishables (fresh produce)

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
