Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems and working with technology?

Sharp Office Mid-Coast is looking for a capable and motivated Printer & IT Service Technician to join our team in Taree.

Ideally, you'll have experience servicing printers, photocopiers or multifunction devices, along with some general IT knowledge. However, we're also interested in hearing from people with strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience diagnosing and repairing electronic or computer-based equipment.

You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, a practical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn. We'll provide training to help you develop your skills across both print and IT technologies.

About Us

Sharp Office Mid-Coast is a well-established office supplies and technology business based in Taree, supporting businesses throughout the Mid North Coast.

We provide a range of office products, print and photocopier solutions, and Managed IT Services. We take pride in delivering reliable service, practical advice and building strong relationships with our customers.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on technical role involving the installation, maintenance and repair of printers and multifunction devices, along with IT support for our small business customers.

You'll spend time working at customer sites and in our workshop, diagnosing faults, resolving technical issues and helping customers get the most out of their equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing and repairing printers, photocopiers and multifunction devices

  • Delivering and installing printers, copiers and associated software

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting printer and copier hardware and software faults

  • Configuring print drivers, scanning solutions and network connectivity in PC & Mac environments

  • Providing technical support for computers, software and connected devices

  • Assisting with Managed IT Services support for small business customers, including Microsoft 365, networks and computer systems

  • Providing onsite and remote technical assistance and customer training

  • Completing service records and job documentation

·       Applicants must be willing to be part of a rotating weekend roster and attend after-hours service call-outs when rostered

Training will be provided to build on your existing skills, particularly in areas where you have less experience.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience servicing or repairing printers, photocopiers or multifunction devices

  • Some understanding of computers, networking and IT systems

  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills

  • A practical, hands-on approach to repairing and maintaining equipment

We're also open to candidates with experience in related technical fields, such as electronics, computer hardware or equipment servicing, who have demonstrated an ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults.

Just as importantly, you'll bring:

  • A genuine interest in technology and learning new skills

  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliability, initiative and pride in your work

  • A current driver's licence

Experience across both printer servicing and IT support would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

Why Join Us?

  • Company vehicle provided

  • Varied and interesting hands-on technical work

  • Training across printer, photocopier and IT technologies

  • Opportunity to further develop your IT skills, potentially including a formal IT qualification

  • Supportive team environment within an established local business

  • Opportunity to build a long-term technical career on the Mid North Coast
