YOUR ROLE

We’re looking for hands-on Maintenance Technicians to join a new operation in Dubbo supporting the renewable energy sector.

Working in a workshop and warehouse environment, you’ll inspect, service, maintain and prepare specialised tools and equipment used by technicians working on wind turbines.

This could suit a maintenance fitter, mechanical fitter, industrial maintenance technician, field service technician or electrical/mechanical technician looking for something different. Previous wind industry experience is not required — what matters is practical maintenance capability, fault finding and being comfortable working with mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment.

You’ll receive specialist training on the equipment and tooling used in the operation.

As part of the initial set-up, successful candidates will need to undertake customer-specific training in Newcastle during November and December 2026, before returning to work permanently in Dubbo. Approved travel and accommodation costs will be covered by CEVA.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

  • IInspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, faults and serviceability

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, minor repairs and component replacement

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment

  • Support calibration, testing and certification of specialised equipment

  • Prepare tools and equipment for technicians going into the field

  • Receive returned equipment, inspect its condition and identify required maintenance

  • Maintain accurate service, repair, calibration and asset records

  • Pick, pack and prepare equipment for dispatch to field locations

  • Safely handle tooling and larger equipment within the workshop and warehouse

  • Work with suppliers and specialist repair providers where additional support is required

The operation manages specialised tooling throughout its lifecycle - from receipt and storage through inspection, maintenance, calibration, preparation, dispatch and return.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don’t need to tick every box.

We’re interested in people who have worked hands-on with industrial equipment and machinery and are comfortable diagnosing problems and getting equipment back into safe working condition.

You will also have:

  • Practical maintenance, servicing, repair or fault-finding experience

  • Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment

  • A trade, vocational or technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience

  • Confidence using hand and power tools and following technical instructions

  • Good attention to detail when recording maintenance and equipment information

Experience with pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, lifting equipment, specialised tools, calibration or test equipment would all be relevant.

Experience from manufacturing, mining, agriculture, heavy industry, renewable energy, power generation, workshops or field service would also transfer well into this role.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.

In addition to a challenging and rewarding work environment and competitive compensation, we are proud to offer a range of employee benefits designed to support your wellbeing, and help you thrive at work and in life.
