Midas Car Care Centre Cairns is looking for a qualified Automotive Technician to join our established and successful workshop.

We're offering an excellent hourly rate of $40–$50, depending on your experience and capabilities, in a supportive workshop where good technicians are valued and rewarded.

About the role

You'll be carrying out a range of general automotive servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostic work, including:

Key responsibilities

• Routine servicing and preventative maintenance

• Brake, suspension, steering and drivetrain repairs

• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical faults

• General mechanical repairs across a variety of vehicle makes and models

• Working cooperatively with the team to maintain an efficient workshop

• Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard

About you

• A recognised Australian automotive trade qualification (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

• Practical experience in general automotive servicing and repairs

• Sound mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A current driver's licence

• A positive attitude, good work ethic and willingness to continue learning

• Full Australian working rights without requiring employer visa sponsorship
