Sandy Ridge is Australia’s first and only operational geological repository. Our mission is to enable the clean energy transition by helping Australian industry start up, scale up, clean up, and innovate in circular economy technologies.

The Opportunity

The Sandy Ridge Facility is a remote residential site, with FIFO from Jandakot, Perth, or DIDO from regional towns. Operations are day shift only, with a flexible roster currently 14:14 roster pattern. The project has a design life of at least 25 years and operates with approximately 40 Tellus employees and additional contractors per swing.

Key Responsibilities

• Reach Stacker operation for container movements and loading/unloading trucks

• Forklift and 4WD forklift operation (for use in waste placement)

• Manual activities of various types including but not limited to cleaning and washing plant and vehicles, use of hand tools, assisting the maintenance supervisor with minor tasks, road marker and signage maintenance, general labouring activities and cleaning.

• Following workplace health & safety procedures and company policies

• Assisting with general production line duties as required

• Maintain an organised container yard

• Completing documentation accurately and efficiently

Job Requirements

Essential

To be successful in the role, we require the following:

• A minimum of two years’ experience 

• High Risk CN ticket

• High Risk LF ticket

• Minimum HR or HC driving license

• Ability to show demonstrated competency on required equipment. 

• Thrives in a team environment where open communication and support for each other is essential.

• Willingness to accept responsibility in different roles as needed on site.

• A strong commitment to safety and personnel development.

• Strong commitment to the Company’s policies, procedures, and Values. 

• Must be able to wear full face respirators or PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirators)

• Other training and tickets will be provided as required.

Desirable

• Experience in storage and handling of Dangerous Goods.

• Waste management experience.

• Working at Heights. 

• EWP ticket. 

• Controlled waste experience.

• Remote site operation and/or FIFO/DIDO experience.
