BIKE BUILDER   - CASUAL RATES + BONUSES

You don’t have to be a bike expert – we will train you!

About 99 Bikes
Launched in 2007 from a tiny Brisbane shop that could only fit 99 bikes, we’ve exploded into Australia’s largest bicycle retailer, now spanning across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK as part of the Pedal Group. With over 2 million loyal club 99 members, the 99 Bikes mission is simple: to be The World’s Most Approachable Bike Shops. In addition to our retail stores, Pedal Group also owns Advance Traders, a bicycle distributor selling popular brands to independent bike shops such as Merida, Cube and Pedal, plus many more. Together we form the Pedal Group and this integration has underpinned our growth and given our people much greater career opportunities across the group. We have always been about living our purpose of enriching mind, body, earth or soul with the freedom of riding and focused on balancing purpose with profit.

Why We’re Different:

  • We Build Business Around People: We promote from within relentlessly. Whether it's moving a star performer to a new city or helping a bike builder rise to GM of our UK operations, your growth is our priority.
  • Profit Meets Purpose: As a proud Certified B Corp, we balance business with doing good. We've donated over $3.2M to employee-chosen charities, power 70% of our shops with solar, and even pay our team to ride to work.

Company profile

Company Logo for 99 Bikes
Specialty Retail

We opened the doors of our first shop in May 2007. The Milton shop was led by Matt Turner and was a small 170m2 - only fitting 99 bikes into the building.

A team of four kept the shop open seven days a week, twelve hours a day with one tiny room tripling as a workshop, office and stock room.

The integral team grew to 8 as our Milton shop flourished and our second shop was opened in Underwood. Most of the original team are still with us today.

Matt continued to use the advice of his father, Graham ‘Skroo’ Turner to evolve systems and processes in alignment with Flight Centre - a business model which has demonstrated success since 1981.
