Delivery driver/Branch Assistant

About the role

Tradelink is seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver/Branch Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our Forrestdale branch in Western Australia. This is a versatile position that combines delivery operations with branch support duties, playing a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their products efficiently whilst maintaining the smooth running of our distribution centre. You will be the face of Tradelink to our customers and an essential part of our logistics and warehousing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operating delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport products to customer locations across the service area, must hold a current valid WA MR drivers license.

• Planning and optimising delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles with care to ensure products arrive in perfect condition

• Maintaining accurate delivery records and obtaining customer signatures where required

• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries, including collecting payments or resolving enquiries

• Supporting warehouse operations including stock management, picking and packing orders

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (where applicable and with appropriate certification)

• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and warehouse areas

• Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns immediately to management

• Assisting with general branch duties including stock intake, inventory management and customer support

What we're looking for

• A current, valid WA MR driver's licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience in delivery driving or a similar role within the transport and logistics sector

• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

• Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to meet tight deadlines

• Basic computer literacy for recording deliveries and managing route information

• A positive attitude and willingness to support team members with various branch tasks

• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in warehousing and transport is advantageous

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred
