Position Type: Full Time
Hours: 38 hours per week (Monday–Friday with occasional weekend support as required), indicative work hours are 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm.

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and detail-focused Full-Time Cleaner to join our Operations & Facilities team. The role is responsible for ensuring rooms, common areas and office environments are maintained to an excellent standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key cleaning zones include:
Student bedrooms and some ensuites
Common rooms, lounges and study areas
Dining hall and late meals room
Office spaces and reception
Resident communal bathrooms and showers
Corridors, stairwells and entryways
Laundry facilities
Grounds cleanliness (light duties)
Key Responsibilities
Daily cleaning of designated residential and common areas
Deep cleaning during student turnover and holiday periods
Waste disposal and recycling
Cleaning of high-touch surfaces and sanitation zones
Maintaining storerooms, equipment and chemical registers
Reporting maintenance issues and safety hazards to Operations team
Supporting event setup/pack down when required
Ensuring compliance with cleaning, hygiene and WHS standards
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience in commercial or institutional cleaning
Minimum of 1 year experience in commercial or institutional cleaning
Be a person who has pride in their work and goes the extra mile
Ability to work independently and within a small permanent team (3 cleaners)
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Commitment to safety, confidentiality and professionalism
Physical capacity to undertake manual cleaning tasks
Australian work rights required
Current Blue Card and hold a blue card for the duration of employment
Willingess to complete a Police Check
Desirable
Experience in residential accommodation or school/college environments
Familiarity with WHS obligations and safe chemical use
First Aid and CPR certifications (advantageous)
