Mobile Mechanic

About the role

Franks Service and Repairs is seeking an experienced Mobile Mechanic to join our team on a Contractor basis. Based in Fremantle, WA 6160, this role offers the flexibility of mobile servicing, allowing you to work on-site at client locations across the region. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be the face of our business, delivering high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services directly to our customers. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence in the automotive trades sector.

What you'll be doing

• Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repairs at client locations

• Conduct routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and adjustments

• Identify mechanical faults and provide customers with clear, professional advice on necessary repairs

• Execute repairs and replacements for engine, transmission, suspension, braking systems and other mechanical components

• Maintain accurate documentation of all work completed, including service records and parts used

• Manage mobile workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and properly stocked

• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide updates on work progress

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices whilst working in varied environments

• Build and maintain positive relationships with regular clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business

What we're looking for

• Current automotive trade qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience as a mechanic

• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance

• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently

• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record

• Proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

• Physical fitness and capability to work in various weather conditions and environments

• Reliability and strong time management skills to meet client appointments

• Knowledge of current vehicle makes and models is advantageous

• Willingness to complete ongoing professional development and training
