COST ESTIMATOR/QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Matlex Builders Inc. is expanding and we are looking for a skilled Cost Estimator / Quantity Surveyor who understands both project costing and actual site execution.

We are looking for someone who can help protect project profitability, improve costing accuracy, and become part of a growing construction company focused on infrastructure and specialty works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Prepare accurate project cost estimates and bid proposals 
• Perform quantity takeoff and material computations 
• Analyze labor, equipment, subcontractor, and operational costs 
• Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing for quotations and pricing 
• Monitor estimated vs actual project costs 
• Assist management in protecting project margins and minimizing cost leakage 
• Maintain updated cost databases and historical project records 
• Coordinate with Operations, Accounting, and Sales teams

QUALIFICATIONS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Preferably Civil Engineer or related technical background 
• Experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or project costing 
• Must have actual field/site experience 
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labor productivity, and project execution 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
• Knowledge in Planswift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar software is an advantage 
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and trustworthy
