JOB DESCRIPTION
Container Handling Operations
Safely and efficiently facilitate the mounting, dismounting, and stockpiling of containers using Reach Stackers and Empty Handlers / Crane
Accurately position containers in designated stockpile areas to maximize space utilization and accessibility
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Conduct pre-operational and post-operational inspections of assigned equipment
Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of assigned equipment and immediately report defects or malfunctions
Safety and Compliance
Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures while operating heavy equipment
Wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Operational Coordination
Coordinate with the container yard team and supervisors to meet daily operational requirements
Communicate with fellow operators and other operational personnel to ensure efficient workflow
Documentation and Reporting
Record daily equipment utilization and report operational issues encountered during operations
Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the department
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification or training in Heavy Equipment Operation is preferred
Valid Heavy Equipment Operator NC II Certification
At least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably in a logistics or container yard environment
Able to operate at least 2 of the following equipment: Mobile Crane, Crawler Crane, Reach Stacker, Empty Handler, or Forklift;
Strong understanding of safety protocols, workplace hazards, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE);
