Purchasing Staff

Under the general guidance and the supervision of the Cost Control Officer and within the limits of established policies and procedures and service skills manual of Culinary Adventures Inc.; the responsibilities of a Purchasing Assistant include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you're identifying the most profitable offers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for ensuring that Purchase Orders are raised and approved, goods and services are received and orders are receipted in a complete, accurate and timely manner.

·         Raises Purchase Orders in line with business rules

·         Checks emails and other PR’s

·         Ensures Purchase Orders are approved in line with business rules

·         Receives Purchase Order based on an approved goods receipt note to Store room.

·         Request credit notes from suppliers and sends to Accounts Payable for processing

·         Establishes sound relationships with suppliers, ensure lead times are met and expedites outstanding orders

·         Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.

·         Sourcing of materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.

·         Performs inventory inspections and reordering of supplies and stock as necessary.

·         Conducts market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.

·         Inspects stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
