Network Engineer - Juniper Switches
About the role
NYGC Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer - Juniper Switches to join our growing team in Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. As a Network Engineer specialising in Juniper Switches, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems. This role is integral to supporting our business operations and enabling seamless connectivity across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Design, deploy, and configure Juniper switch environments to support organisational network requirements
Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues or bottlenecks
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches on Juniper switching infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues in a timely manner
Implement network security protocols and access control lists (ACLs) on Juniper devices
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for audit and compliance purposes
Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support network-related projects and initiatives
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and operational staff
Stay current with network technologies and industry best practices
What we're looking for
Proven experience working with Juniper switching platforms and devices
Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching fundamentals
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and OSI model layers
Experience with network troubleshooting tools and diagnostic utilities
Familiarity with network security principles and firewall configurations
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Relevant certifications such as JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, or similar qualifications (preferred but not essential)
Experience with network monitoring and management tools
