Select Convenience OIC - Shell Bangkal

About the role

We are seeking a Select Convenience Officer in Charge (OIC) to lead operations at our Shell Bangkal convenience store location in Davao City. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining operational excellence at one of our key retail locations. As OIC, you will be responsible for managing daily store operations, leading a team of retail staff, and ensuring that our store meets the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and product availability. This role reports directly to the area management and is integral to the success of our retail convenience operations in the region.

Key responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation

2. Manage inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability

3. Lead, train, and supervise retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain store standards

4. Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising displays to attract customers

5. Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and implement strategies to drive revenue growth

6. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling standards

7. Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner

8. Conduct staff scheduling and manage payroll-related administrative tasks

9. Report on store performance metrics and communicate findings to management

10. Implement promotional activities and ensure effective point-of-sale marketing materials are displayed

What we're looking for

1. A graduate of 4 year Accounting or Business Course.

2. Previous experience in retail management or a supervisory role within a convenience store or similar retail environment

3. Proven track record of managing teams and delivering positive customer service outcomes

4. Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and retail operations

5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively

6. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software

7. Strong financial acumen including cash handling, sales reporting, and basic accounting principles

8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams

9. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety compliance

10. Flexibility to work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required

11. A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service
