Job description:

We are looking for a results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and manage sales operations within an assigned region. This role is responsible for driving regional sales performance through the direct leadership of Distributor Sales Managers (DSMs) and the indirect management of distributor partners and field sales teams.

The Regional Sales Manager will play a critical role in delivering volume, revenue, market share, and distribution targets by executing strong sales strategies, ensuring operational excellence in the field, and building high-performing sales teams. This role requires a commercially driven leader with strong distributor management experience, solid execution discipline, and a proven ability to deliver growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Monitor and drive the performance of DSMs and distributor teams to achieve volume, value, and numeric distribution targets.

  • Ensure successful implementation of trade promotions, pricing strategies, and new product introductions.

2. Distributor Management and Development

  • Oversee the performance and compliance of all assigned distributors through DSMs.

  • Support DSMs in distributor engagement, capability development, and route optimization.

  • Monitor distributor inventory levels, credit terms, service quality, and sales performance.

3. Field Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and coach DSMs in delivering operational excellence in field execution.

  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure trade coverage, retail execution, and distributor performance.

  • Evaluate team performance, provide structured feedback, and develop action plans for improvement.

4. Market Development and Expansion

  • Identify opportunities for market expansion, including new outlet coverage, underserved areas, and white-space activation.

  • Collaborate with trade marketing to drive in-store visibility, availability, and shopper conversion.

  • Address competitive threats by adapting regional strategies and improving execution standards.

5. Sales Monitoring and Reporting

  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and KPIs to track performance against targets.

  • Prepare weekly/monthly reviews and business updates for senior leadership.

  • Provide input into demand forecasting and regional sales planning.

6. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve operational challenges in the field.

  • Ensure smooth implementation of nationwide campaigns at the regional level.

  • Support the finance team in monitoring distributor payments, aging, and credit control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or any related field

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as Regional Sales Manager

  • Strong background in FMCG, retail, wholesale, or distribution operations is an advantage

  • Strong experience in distributor management, general trade, and field sales execution

  • Proven track record of consistently delivering sales and distribution targets

  • Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sales reporting tools

  • Willing to travel for fieldwork and distributor visits

  • Area of Assignment: Visayas & Mindanao
