What is the job?

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting operations, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes for a multi-entity healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly close, GL accounting, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Ensure accurate financial records, US GAAP compliance, and standardized accounting procedures.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen reconciliation processes.
• Develop accounting controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness initiatives.
• Mentor staff accountants, review work quality, and provide guidance on accounting processes.
• Support technical accounting research, financial reporting, and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a full month-end close.

• Minimum of two (2) years reviewing the work of others, whether as a reviewer, senior, supervisor, or manager.

• Experience in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reconciliation using tools such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX-MATCH, Power Query, and advanced reporting templates.
