Equipment Technician

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, tools, and technical equipment used in production or laboratory environments

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues using testing devices and diagnostic tools

• Calibrate, align, and adjust equipment components according to manufacturer specifications

• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration results in service logs or computerized maintenance systems

• Assist in equipment upgrades, retrofits, and modifications to improve functionality or efficiency

• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve recurring equipment problems

• Maintain an inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs and order replacements as required

• Ensure all equipment complies with safety and regulatory standards

• Provide technical support and training to operators on proper equipment use and maintenance practices

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology preferred

• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or calibration

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently and accurately

• Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and precision measuring devices

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in performing maintenance and documenting service records

• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory compliance

• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with technicians, engineers, and supervisors
