Equipment Reliability Engineer (Plant / Automation)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and driven Equipment Reliability Engineer to ensure plant-wide equipment reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining stable operations, reducing downtime, and improving overall equipment performance through strong maintenance strategies, automation support, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance
Implement and sustain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics such as:
MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
Equipment downtime
Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues
Support reliability across key production lines and plant operations
TPM & Performance Management
Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and pillar deployment
Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
Establish equipment standards and promote autonomous maintenance practices
Automation & System Improvement
Maintain and enhance PLC and automation systems
Support equipment upgrades and process improvements
Drive initiatives to improve automation capability and efficiency
Cost & Productivity Optimization
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives related to maintenance and equipment
Reduce equipment losses and improve utilization
Optimize maintenance strategies and resource usage
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
Support plant initiatives to improve uptime, efficiency, and working conditions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field
At least 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, automation, or manufacturing engineering
Strong experience in:
Equipment reliability and maintenance systems
PLC and automation troubleshooting
TPM and OEE improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Electrical Engineer is an advantage
Certification in PLC (e.g., NC2) is a plus
Experience using systems such as SAP, MES, MMS, or Power BI
