AutoCAD Operator

About the role

Micromatic Industries Inc. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Angeles City, Pampanga and plays a crucial part in translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and documentation. As an AutoCAD Operator, you will be instrumental in supporting our engineering projects by creating accurate, detailed drawings that meet industry standards and client specifications. This position is essential to maintaining the quality and efficiency of our design and drafting processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Creating and editing detailed technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD software in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards

2. Converting sketches, blueprints and verbal instructions from engineers into accurate CAD drawings

3. Modifying and updating existing drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers

4. Ensuring all drawings are properly dimensioned, annotated and formatted for clarity and compliance

5. Maintaining drawing files and documentation in an organised and accessible manner

6. Collaborating with engineers and design teams to understand project requirements and technical specifications

7. Checking drawings for accuracy, completeness and adherence to company standards before submission

8. Assisting in the preparation of drawing packages for manufacturing, construction or client delivery

9. Contributing to continuous improvement of drafting processes and CAD best practices

What we're looking for

1. Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated expertise in 2D drafting and design

2. Strong understanding of engineering drawing conventions, symbols and standards

3. Experience in technical drawing, preferably in manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related industrial sectors

4. Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in complex technical work

5. Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering specifications and technical documentation

6. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and drawing practices

7. Ability to work effectively within a team environment and take direction from senior engineers

8. Good communication skills and the ability to clarify ambiguous requirements

9. Time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines

10. Basic computer skills and experience with file management systems

11. Diploma or certification in Engineering Drafting, CAD or a related technical field is preferred

12. Experience with 3D modelling software or other CAD applications would be advantageous
