About the Role:
As a remote Patient Care Coordinator, you will guide Utah medical cannabis patients through scheduling, evaluations, and state registration. Beyond just answering calls, you will proactively and compassionately manage the patient pipeline from start to finish. 

Schedule: Remote Full Time 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Mountain Time Zone | (1hr Unpaid Break).

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact, delivering friendly and compassionate support across phone, text, email, and patient portals.

  • Seamlessly manage booking, confirmations, cancellations, reminders, and intake instructions.

  • Reach out to prospective patients, follow up on missed appointments, and assist with incomplete registrations.

  • Guide patients through the Utah medical cannabis card process, clarifying clinic steps versus state requirements.

  • Accurately verify, update, and document patient records and interaction notes within internal systems.

  • Partner directly with healthcare providers and internal teams to streamline patient care.

  • Promptly route medical questions, complaints, billing issues, and technical support to the appropriate departments.

  • Handle all sensitive health data in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare support role (e.g., Medical Receptionist, Patient Coordinator, or Scheduler), with telehealth or remote healthcare experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a strong ability to build quick rapport with patients.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and scheduling systems; experience with EHR/EMR or CRM software is highly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality, and healthcare compliance.

  • Self-motivated and disciplined to work independently in a fully remote environment.
