Senior Quantity Surveyor
The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established interiors lining contractor based in South Australia who work on the state's biggest and best commercial construction projects. Their typical scope of works including ceilings, partitions, acoustic walls/panels, doors/windows, aluminum partitions as well as carpentry packages. Projects they work on include, defence, health, prisons, commercial offices and other major commercial builds.
They are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has a track record of working on major building projects for an interiors subcontractor, head contractor or QS firm based in Australia. This company is establishing a mid sized offshore team and there an opportunity for a Team Leadership role in the medium term if desired

The Role
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, reflected ceiling, partition, and construction drawings.
Produce comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for drywall partitions, suspended ceilings, plasterboard linings, insulation, acoustic systems, bulkheads, feature ceilings, and associated fit-out works.
Verify and validate client-issued BOQs and identify discrepancies, omissions, and scope gaps.
Maintain measurement records and auditable take-off documentation.
Develop pricing schedules and tender BOQs in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
Review specifications, schedules, and tender documentation to ensure BOQs accurately reflect project scope.
About you:
Previous Australian experience on major tier one or tier two projects gained from a contractor or QS firm
Strong ability to interpret and measure interior linings packages
Minimum of 5+ years experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, quantity surveying or a related field
Must have Strong written and spoken English
Strong IT skills and experience in using digital take-off software such as CostX, Bluebeam, Cubit, Planswift or similar. This company integrates their measures in Procore so experience in this would be beneficial, though not essential.
