Branch Accountant

About the role

CLC Marketing Ventures Corporation is seeking a talented Branch Accountant to join our team in Mandaue City, Cebu. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our branch-level accounting processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Direct/oversee daily activities of staff ensuring workload are properly carried out

2. Check and verify the following Accounting documents:

• Petty cash replenishments

• AP counter receipts/billings and payments to suppliers

• Collections

> Daily Collections

> Collection reports including attachments/deposits/entries

• Weekly payroll

• Prepare monthly for withholding tax withheld reports

• Prepare AR Aging Reports

• Counter check and sign check vouchers before submission to Manila

• Counter check and finalize result of background investigation to new customers submitted by Accounting Supervisor

• Prepare AP Aging Reports

1. Monitor and reconcile cash position; revolving fund.

2. Prepare and reconcile revolving fund summary and accountability including bank transactions

3. Prepare semi-monthly payroll of monthly paid employees

4. Prepare and submit the following reports to Manila Office

• Monthly submission of reports to Manila Office for FS preparation

• Collection attainment of previous month

• Collection forecast

• Summary of government reportorial requirements

1. Conduct surprise cash count with Petty Cash Custodian

2. Monitor Sales Incentives for follow-up with Manila Office

3. Conduct monthly collection meetings

4. Submission of Annual return of 1604C and 1604E

5. Data entry in BIR alphalist for BIR 2316

6. Spearhead inventory count or as instructed

7. Coordinates with other departments for accounting-related transactions

8. Prepare P & L per store report and submit to COO

9. Prepare 1601EQ and Quarterly Alphalist of Payees for submission to BIR

10. Prepare 1601C and 0619 monthly return and submit to BIR

11. Prepare cost of goods sold report

12. Prepare concession accrual report and submit to Manila

13. Check and review discrepancy report - SAP vs Store

14. Prepare budgeting for VisMin

15. Oversee Davao Accountant for the accounting daily activities and financial reports.

16. Other task

Experience with BIR tax reporting and compliance is preferred for this position.

What we're looking for

1. Qualified accountant with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

2. With sufficient experience as Accounting Supervisor

3. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Accounting Supervisor is required.

4. Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, and internal controls

5. Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications

6. SAP Business One exposure is ideal

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

9. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
