Position: Medical Technologist
Location: TeleCure Medical and Diagnostic Center, 221 Tanjeco St., San Vicente, City of Malolos, Bulacan
Type: Full-time, Probationary
Work Schedule: 6 days a week, 8 hours per day
Reports To: Branch Manager

Role Overview:
The Medical Technologist at TeleCure Medical and Diagnostic Center is responsible for performing clinical laboratory procedures in accordance with Republic Act No. 5527 (The Philippine Medical Technology Act of 1969), applicable to the services offered by the facility. The role ensures the provision of accurate and timely diagnostic results to support physicians and healthcare professionals, while maintaining quality standards, laboratory safety, and biosafety protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Testing:

• Perform examinations of tissues, secretions, excretions, body fluids, and other biological specimens using approved laboratory techniques, both manual and automated.

• Collect patient specimens (e.g., blood, urine, swabs) following proper protocols to preserve integrity and ensure patient safety.
  Prepare and standardize reagents, stains, and laboratory solutions for exclusive use.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Record and report test results promptly in accordance with laboratory protocols and guidelines.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and monitor laboratory quality control procedures to ensure test reliability.

• Participate in internal and external quality assurance and proficiency testing programs.

• Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance and accreditation.

Biosafety and Infection Control:

• Adhere strictly to biosafety and infection control protocols in the handling and disposal of biological materials, in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Professional Development:

• Participate in continuing education, seminars, and professional organizations to stay abreast of advances in medical technology.

• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements and professional standards.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management to support laboratory operations.
May be temporarily assigned to different laboratory sections or branch locations based on operational needs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
Licensed Medical Technologist (PRC) in good standing
Proficient in laboratory procedures relevant to the clinic’s services
Knowledgeable in quality control, specimen handling, and laboratory safety
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to continuing professional development and regulatory compliance
