Assistant Plant Manager (Confidential Company)
Role Overview: The Assistant Plant Manager is responsible for the daily pulse of the factory. This role requires a high-level engineering background to synchronize production, quality, and maintenance into a seamless operation.
Key Responsibilities
Departmental Oversight: Directly manage and coordinate the Quality Assurance (QA), Production Planning, and Maintenance departments.
Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize deep knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to assist teams in resolving complex industrial machinery issues.
Production Strategy: Ensure production schedules are met without compromising quality standards or equipment health.
Data-Driven Leadership: Analyze factory performance and prepare detailed reports for upper management.
Common Factory KPIs to Monitor
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness): The gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity.
Downtime (Planned vs. Unplanned): Tracking how much time is lost to repairs or changeovers.
Scrap/Yield Rate: Measuring material waste and the percentage of products that pass QA on the first run.
On-Time Delivery (OTD): The percentage of orders completed by the customer's deadline.
Schedule Adherence: How closely the production team followed the daily plan.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
Experience: Proven experience working in a high-pressure factory environment.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data into actionable plans.
