Junior Software QA Analyst

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, user stories, and technical design documents to create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Create and execute end-to-end test plans to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing for web and mobile applications.

• Verify software functionality, performance, reliability, stability, usability, and compatibility with external systems.

• Identify, document, and track defects, validate fixes, and perform retesting to ensure issue resolution.

• Document test results and communicate findings effectively to developers and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support issue resolution.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

• Maintain testing documentation and test artifacts using Jira and Confluence.

• Research and recommend tools and processes that improve testing efficiency, coverage, and quality.

• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and other testing tools to enhance QA processes.

• Assist in API testing, mobile application testing, and production validation activities when required.

• Clear communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to create test documentation and communicate issues effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate requirements into effective test scenarios.

• Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining high-quality testing standards.

• Critical thinker with the ability to identify edge cases and uncover hidden defects.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong deductive reasoning skills.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience using Jira and Confluence is preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• 
  

• Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.

• Exposure to Android and/or iOS mobile application testing.

• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.

• Basic knowledge of test automation concepts and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.

• Willingness to learn automation testing and modern QA practices.
