Travel and Tours Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Travel and Tours Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage personnel, coordinate with international partners, and ensure excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in travel and visa processing, marketing knowledge, excellent English communication abilities, and proficiency in computer applications.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the travel and tours team.
Ensure efficient handling of travel bookings, tour packages, ticketing, hotel reservations, and related services.
Monitor service quality and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Implement company policies and operational procedures.
Personnel Management
Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate staff performance.
Assign duties and monitor productivity to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct regular team meetings and provide coaching when necessary.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
International Coordination
Liaise and maintain strong working relationships with overseas travel partners, tour operators, airlines, hotels, embassies, and other service providers.
Coordinate travel arrangements and tour programs with counterparts from different countries.
Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements when required.
Visa Processing & Documentation
Oversee visa application processes and ensure compliance with embassy and immigration requirements.
Review and verify travel documents for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain organized records of client files, applications, and travel documentation.
Stay updated on visa regulations, travel advisories, and immigration policies.
Marketing & Business Development
Assist in planning and implementing marketing and promotional campaigns.
Develop strategies to attract new clients and increase sales.
Manage social media content, online promotions, and customer engagement activities.
Participate in travel fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
Administrative Responsibilities
Prepare operational, sales, and performance reports.
Monitor booking systems and maintain accurate records.
Utilize computer applications and travel management software effectively.
Support management in achieving company goals and targets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of visa processing procedures and travel documentation requirements.
Experience coordinating with international travel partners and suppliers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and travel reservation systems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with airline reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre).
Knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, and promotional strategies.
Familiarity with international travel regulations and destination management.
