Marketing Communications Officer

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.     Responsible for organizing and supervising corporate brand and marketing initiatives under the guidance of the Corporate Marketing Head, including but not limited to:

Communications-driven brand-building campaignsDevelops, implements, replicates, and sustains Maynilad-led campaigns that leverage strategic communications and creatives in enhancing the company’s external brand profile to reinforce stakeholder loyalty.

The Marketing Communications Officer also collaborates with the Assistant Manager for Corporate Brand in ensuring that communication initiatives are integrated to brand-building campaigns to effectively convey Maynilad’s brand messaging and positioning.

Brand and marketing communicationsCollaborates and consults with business units in developing brand and marketing communication materials that promote Maynilad’s services and uphold positive brand recognition, perception, and values.

Working closely with the Creatives Officer, the Assistant Manager for Marketing Communications develops communication materials that include creative print advertisements, exhibits, billboard advertisements, IEC collaterals, content for social media component of brand-building campaigns, facility murals, audio-visual presentations, program spiels, merchandise, leave-behinds, and similar collaterals that require copy development.

Sponsorship management - Manages, implements, and sustains sponsorships that leverage communications and creatives in enhancing Maynilad’s external brand profile to reinforce stakeholder loyalty.

2.     Assists in managing the operational and financial activities of the unit, including budget and business goals

3.     Prepares and crafts presentations and creative briefs for initiatives by the department

4.     Prepares and maintains regular and special reports required by the Department Head and/or Division Head

5.     Performs other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate of any four-year course preferably in communications, marketing, development studies, journalism, psychology, or any business-related course

  • With minimum 5-years experience in brand management, advertising, corporate communications, marketing communications, or related fields

  • Preferably with strong background in sustainability, development and/or advocacy communications

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • English and Filipino Communication skills in all forms: written, oral, and listening

  • Knowledgeable in areas of people management, project analysis and strategy, creatives, corporate sustainability, event management  

  • Strong leadership skills; experience in supervising projects and team activities

  • High problem solving and analytical thinking skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to learn new software, applications

  • Ability to initiate innovations and leads implementations

  • Proficient in MS Office; rudimentary skills in using Adobe creativity tools is a plus

  • Works in a normal office environment; 

  • Regular meetings with clients and suppliers outside the office

  • Occasional field work/ocular inspection/conferences held outside of the office

  • Occasional travel, local or international

  • Working in communities, including security-risk areas
