About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join SINO ROAD AND BRIDGE GROUP CO., LTD. in Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, analysis and execution of structural projects that form the backbone of our civil infrastructure initiatives. As a Structural Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation and excellence, contributing to the planning and delivery of complex structural systems that support our company's strategic objectives in the civil and structural engineering sector. Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design of bridges, roads and associated infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methodologies

• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations and technical specifications for construction projects

• Perform site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural conditions and identify potential engineering solutions

• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers and project managers to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design requirements

• Review and approve construction drawings and shop drawings submitted by contractors to ensure adherence to design standards

• Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, addressing structural challenges and modifications as required

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control inspections to verify compliance with specifications and engineering standards

• Prepare engineering reports, including feasibility studies, design reports and construction progress assessments

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution

• Licensed Structural Engineer, PRC licensure is a must.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in road and bridge engineering

• Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS or similar industry-standard tools

• In-depth knowledge of structural design codes, standards and best practices relevant to civil infrastructure

• Excellent technical drawing skills and proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or BIM tools

• Strong understanding of materials, construction methods and construction sequencing

• Ability to conduct complex calculations and provide sound engineering judgement on technical challenges

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in project management and coordination with multidisciplinary teams

• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements on construction sites

• Preferred experience: Prior experience with large-scale infrastructure projects, international project exposure or experience working in Southeast Asia
