The Staff Product Yield Engineer is responsible for driving yield improvement and product quality across the semiconductor manufacturing lifecycle. This role identifies yield loss mechanisms, leads root-cause analysis, and drives corrective and preventive actions in partnership with fab, test, design, quality, and failure analysis teams. The position also plays a key role in product qualifications, process changes, and site transfer activities, while providing technical leadership on complex yield challenges.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead yield enhancement initiatives for a range of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit products. Perform hold lots management and dispositions.
- Identify and quantify yield detractors by analyzing failure modes, affected material, defect density, and process trends.
- Drive timely problem resolution through cross-functional collaboration with fab, test, design, quality, and other engineering teams.
- Support the analysis, disposition, and follow-through of fabrication-related excursions, evaluations, and qualifications.
- Enable fab transfer resiliency by driving equivalency, risk reduction, and continuous yield and quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in semiconductor yield, product, process, or failure analysis engineering.
- Proficiency in data analysis and yield-monitoring tools such as JMP, Exensio, and KLA ACE.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines and independently drive projects to completion.
