BACKHOE OPERATOR

As our Backhoe Operator, you are the driving force behind the success of our earthworks and site development projects. You will be entrusted to safely, skillfully, and efficiently operate backhoe loaders and related heavy machinery to deliver precise excavation, grading, and material handling. Your expertise ensures work is completed on schedule, within specifications, and above all – without compromising the safety of personnel, property, and equipment. Your reliability directly builds our project timeline and our company’s strong reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the backhoe loader with precision for excavation, trenching, backfilling, leveling, grading, land clearing, loading/unloading materials, and embankment works in strict accordance with project plans and site requirements

• Perform thorough pre-operation and post-operation inspections – checking fluid levels, tires/tracks, controls, hydraulics, attachments, lights and safety devices to ensure equipment is in safe condition

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance such as greasing, lubrication, filter checks, and cleaning; report immediately any mechanical faults, leaks, damage, or abnormal noises to the mechanic or supervisor

• Execute work accurately following site markers, grades, and instructions form engineers and foremen to avoid rework, waste, or damage to underground utilities, structures, and surrounding terrain

• Maintain full awareness of site hazards, overhead lines unstable ground, and other personnel; strictly apply safe operating practices at all times to prevent accidents and equipment misuse

• Keep the machine and its attachments clean, secure, and protected from weather or damage; store properly after each shift

• Maintain daily operation logs, work reports, and equipment usage records as required

• Assist in simple site preparation and coordinate closely with ground crew, drivers, and other equipment operators to ensure smooth workflow

• Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, DOLE standards, and environmental guidelines
