Cadet Engineer
The Cadet Engineer assists in engineering and operational activities while gaining hands-on experience in the energy industry. The role is responsible for preparing technical documentation, monitoring equipment and processes, assisting in project implementation, and supporting the Engineering Team in ensuring efficient and safe plant operations. Mechanical Engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Documentation and ReportingPrepare, organize, and maintain engineering and operational documents, reports, manuals, and records.
Create and update technical documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and project files.
Assist in preparing equipment maintenance records, inspection reports, and operational logs.
Ensure proper filing and control of engineering documents and drawings.
Assist in monitoring plant equipment performance and operational activities.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities of mechanical equipment.
Participate in equipment inspections and troubleshooting activities.
Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams regarding engineering concerns.
Assist in engineering projects, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Help prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates.
Conduct data gathering, analysis, and research to support engineering initiatives.
Support continuous improvement programs and operational efficiency projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
Participate in safety inspections, audits, and workplace improvement initiatives.
Report equipment abnormalities, safety hazards, and operational concerns to supervisors.
Coordinate with different departments regarding engineering documentation and operational requirements.
Perform other engineering-related duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor, Operations Manager, or Management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related Engineering course.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Knowledgeable in engineering documentation, technical reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering software is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Willing to be trained and work in a power plant or energy industry environment
