Legal Manager
Pay: ₱45,000.00 - ₱70,000.00 per month
Job description:
Legal representation - Acts as the company's representative in legal proceedings, government dealings, and external negotiations when required.
Governance oversight - Prepares and reviews board resolutions, legal documents, and filings to support sound corporate governance
Risk Mitigation - Provides legal advice on disputes, transactions, and policies to minimize exposure to legal and financial risks
Regulatory compliance - Monitors and enforces adherence to corporate, labor, tax, and industry regulations to prevent penalties and liabilities.
Contract Management - Reviews, draft, and negotiates contracts to protect company's interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's of Law or Juris Doctor, must be a member of Philippine Bar
Certifications/training - Continuing legal education compliance (MCLE), specialize training in corporate law, contract management, or labor law is an advantage.
at least 2-3 yrs of experience of progressive legal practice
with experience in corporate legal management
with experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and regulatory compliance
Technical skills: Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, regulatory filings, and case management systems
Soft skills: Strong analytical thinking, leadership, negotiation, communication, and decision-making abilities, high ethical standards and integrity

Subic Bay Freeport Grain Terminal Services Inc. is a Philippine corporation established in 2000 as a locator in Subic Bay Freeport Zone to service the bulk grains handling needs of Central/ Northern Luzon as well as Metro Manila grain importers.
The Company’s operating facilities were designed to handle “PANAMAX” vessels which transport about 60,000MT of grains for maximum economies of scale. The grain terminal brings together 3 essential components of a bulk grains facility– a deep water port, sufficient grain storage facilities and a high speed bulk grain unloading system. Subic Grain’s modern bulk grain terminal, ideally located in the Leyte Wharf area of Subic Bay Freeport (SBF) which is part of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac mega-logistics and economic corridor, can provide these 3 essential components. Subic Grain’s major stockholder and CEO is Mr. Eduardo L. Aliňo who has spent 30 years in the port services and bulk handling industry.
The Company has obtained a 50-year lease for the use of SBF’s Leyte Wharf deepwater port and 10 hectares of the adjoining area. It has also negotiated with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority to have Leyte Wharf designated as the sole SBF port facility that can handle private grain shipments in SBF and Subic Grain as the sole grain handler that can operate in the wharf. Thus it has handled 70% of grains importations meant for the North/Central Luzon areas and has established close contacts and rapport since 1987 with such major Philippine companies as San Miguel Corp., RFM Corp., General Milling, Purefoods Corp., Cargill Philippines Inc. and Tyson Agro-Ventures
