Junior IT Administrator
About the Role
We're hiring a Junior IT Administrator to support the IT operations of two growing businesses across Australia and the US. This is a hands-on, early-career role for someone who is technically grounded, security-conscious, and eager to build real-world experience across Microsoft 365 administration, SaaS platform management, Power Automate, telephony, and IT security.
You'll work directly with management and department heads across time zones. Training will be provided for specific platforms and internal processes — but you need to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with good judgment.
This role grows with you. As your skills develop, so will your responsibilities.
What You'll Do
Microsoft 365 Administration
Manage users, groups, licenses, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive access
Handle onboarding and offboarding in M365 and connected systems
Troubleshoot M365 issues — Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, MFA, login, and access
Maintain accurate records of user accounts, permissions, and access changes
SaaS Platform Administration
Administer Zoho Vault (password vault): user access, shared vaults, credential hygiene
Monitor and maintain Backupify (SaaS backup): backup health, alerts, and recovery requests
Administer telephony platforms (Dialpad / VoipLine): user setup, call routing, troubleshooting
Power Automate
Support creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Power Automate Cloud Flows and Desktop automations
Document flow logic, triggers, dependencies, and expected outputs
Help identify manual processes that can be converted into structured workflows
IT Security & BYOD Checks
Conduct basic security checks for remote team members on BYOD devices
Verify MFA setup, antivirus protection, OS updates, and secure storage practices
Create security awareness materials: phishing guides, password hygiene, safe browsing
Escalate security concerns or policy violations to management
Documentation & General Support
Maintain SOPs, user guides, onboarding/offboarding checklists, and knowledge base articles
Provide remote IT support across departments, time zones, and both companies
Coordinate with external vendors when escalation is required
What We're Looking For
Required
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration (users, groups, licenses, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Familiarity with Power Automate Cloud Flows or Power Automate Desktop
Good understanding of IT security basics: MFA, password hygiene, phishing awareness, antivirus
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Clear written communication — especially for non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently and know when to escalate
Comfortable reporting directly to management and communicating updates professionally
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience with Zoho Vault, LastPass, 1Password, Bitwarden, or similar password vault tools
Experience with Backupify or other SaaS backup platforms
Experience with Dialpad, VoipLine, RingCentral, or similar telephony systems
Background supporting remote or international teams
Experience creating SOPs, troubleshooting guides, or knowledge base articles
Basic knowledge of DNS/email authentication (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) — a plus, not required at hire
Interest in automation, AI tools, and SaaS operations
BYOD & Remote Work Requirements
This is a fully remote role. You must provide and maintain your own equipment. At minimum:
Reliable laptop or desktop suitable for daily IT administration work
Stable high-speed internet connection (backup connection preferred)
Updated operating system and active antivirus/endpoint security
Ability to use MFA/authenticator apps and secure password management
Willingness to comply with company BYOD, confidentiality, and data security policies
