Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (FP&A)
Client is seeking an FP&A Manager to own and elevate our financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis function. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will run the core planning cycles, build the models and reporting infrastructure that leadership relies on, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive key business decisions. Critically, this role is built for an AI-first era of finance.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Owning the annual budget, monthly re-forecasts, and monthly variance analysis end to end, partnering with department leaders on assumptions and accountability
Building and maintaining detailed SKU-level and brand-level sales forecasts across multiple states, incorporating seasonality, product lifecycle trends, and retailer purchasing behavior
Leading monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles for executive review, ensuring alignment between topline forecasts, budgets, and operational plans
Developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models that support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and long-range planning
Performance Analysis & Business Insights
Defining and maintaining a consistent KPI framework for company, brand, and SKU-level performance, covering revenue, volume, and margin trends
Measuring and communicating topline performance across brands, categories, and regions, surfacing actionable insights and recommendations for leadership
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Data, Sales, Infrastructure, and Operations to understand business drivers and improve key financial metrics
Identifying and evaluating opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth, and translating findings into clear recommendations
Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects related to topline planning and growth initiatives
Reporting & Dashboards
Developing and maintaining financial reporting processes, dashboards, and self-service tools that support decision-making across the organization
Building automated tooling to track forecast accuracy and highlight key variances in near real time
Partnering with Data and Business Operations to build dynamic, trustworthy reporting on revenue, volume, and margin trends
AI-Driven FP&A
Championing AI: setting the vision and standards for how AI and automation are applied to FP&A, and leading adoption across the broader finance team
Automating the manual: using AI tooling to streamline data prep, reconciliation, commentary drafting, and recurring reporting so the team spends more time on analysis and less on assembly
Accelerating modeling and analysis: leveraging large language models and AI-enabled analytics to build and stress-test models, generate first-draft variance narratives, and rapidly explore what-if scenarios
Improving forecast accuracy: applying AI and modern forecasting methodologies (including time-series and statistical approaches) to sharpen demand and topline forecasts
Building durable workflows: designing repeatable, well-governed AI-assisted processes and agents, validating outputs, documenting assumptions, and ensuring accuracy and data integrity at every step
Staying on the frontier: continuously evaluating emerging AI tools and techniques, and recommending where they create the most leverage for Nabis
Leadership & Partnership
Acting as a trusted finance partner to leadership and executive teams, delivering insights and recommendations that shape key business decisions
Mentoring and developing junior analysts, raising the analytical and technical bar of the FP&A function
Driving results cross-functionally with minimal supervision in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, demand forecasting, or financial modeling, including experience owning planning and forecasting cycles (CPG, retail, marketplace, or cannabis experience a plus)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative or analytical field
Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., large language models and AI-enabled analytics or automation) to accelerate financial analysis, reporting, and modeling, and genuine enthusiasm for pushing this further
Experience building or deploying AI/automation workflows within a finance or analytics function
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; ability to work proficiently within Google Suite and the broader Microsoft Office suite
Strong proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and comfort working with large datasets and complex data models (SQL is a plus)
Deep understanding of forecasting methodologies, time-series modeling, and variance analysis
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mentality, high attention to detail, and demonstrated success in problem-solving and synthesizing data to provide business insights and recommendations
Excellent quantitative, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
Ability to work independently and within a team environment to drive business results
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment that requires tenacity to exploit opportunities and a steady demeanor to handle challenges
