Project and Process Engineer
Job Description
Conduct CAPEX reviews, project evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, and AACE-compliant project documentation and monitoring.
Manage engineering projects from concept development, design, procurement, installation, qualification, and commissioning through project closeout.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.
Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and equipment commissioning activities.
Evaluate, optimize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives and process improvement opportunities.
Lead engineering change management activities, including process validation and equipment qualification.
Conduct ergonomics assessments and implement workplace improvements to enhance employee safety and productivity.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for process and equipment-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D, to achieve project and operational goals.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience in Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related role, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong knowledge of automation systems, industrial controls, and manufacturing technologies.
Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems, including GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other relevant standards.
Experience in process improvement and problem-solving methodologies, including:
Process Capability Analysis
Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
Data Collection and Sampling Techniques
Pareto Analysis
Cause-and-Effect (Fishbone) Diagram
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Poka-Yoke
5S
Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Root Cause Analysis
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools
Experience in project management methodologies and tools, including:
Gantt Charts
Critical Path Method (CPM)
User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Installation Qualification (IQ)
Operational Qualification (OQ)
Performance Qualification (PQ)
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Project Budgeting and Cost Control
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Licensed Engineer is an advantage but not required.
