Key Duties and Responsibilities
Installation: Setting up electrical systems, lighting, and wiring based on technical blueprints and schematics.
Troubleshooting: Using testing devices (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers) to identify electrical malfunctions and isolate faults.
Maintenance & Repair: Performing preventative maintenance, repairing broken components, and replacing faulty or outdated wiring.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring all installations meet national electrical codes and local building and safety regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
Education & Training: Completion of an apprenticeship program or a technical/vocational college degree.
Licensing: Valid state or regional licensure proving adherence to local electrical standards.
Physical Capabilities: Stamina to work on your feet, ability to lift heavy components (up to 50 pounds), and normal color vision to distinguish colored wiring.
Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, basic troubleshooting, and customer service skills to interact with clients
