Pollution Control and Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management & Controls

• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments for operations, processes, and projects

• Implement, monitor, and maintain effective risk control measures

• Review and update risk assessments following changes or incidents

Operational Support

• Coordinate with Operations to support planning, execution, reviews, and orientations

• Provide EHSS guidance to maintain safe and compliant work practices

Regulatory Compliance

• Secure and maintain required environmental and safety permits, licenses, and registrations

• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational compliance

• Prepare and submit required internal and regulatory reports

Incident Management

• Ensure proper reporting and documentation of incidents and near-misses

• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analysis

• Track and verify closure of corrective and preventive actions

Contractor & Logistics Oversight

• Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with EHSS requirements

• Verify permits, licenses, and safety practices of transport and logistics providers

Audits & Assurance

• Plan and conduct internal EHSS audits to verify compliance

• Support external audits by regulators, clients, or third parties

• Identify non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions

Training & Safety Culture

• Develop and deliver EHSS training for employees and contractors

• Promote a strong safety and environmental culture across the organization

Continuous Improvement & Sustainability

• Drive initiatives to improve safety performance and environmental impact

• Analyze incident, waste, and compliance trends

• Support sustainability programs (e.g., waste reduction, energy efficiency, digital safety tools)

Qualifications:

• A graduate of any 4-year related course. (Preferably, Engineering course of any appropriate discipline).

• At least two (2) years of experience as a Safety Officer in a logistics-related industry, and with one (1) year of experience as a Pollution Control Officer

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)

• Amenable to work in Cabuyao, Laguna and Tanauan, Batangas
