Google Cloud Platform Engineer-Direct Hire

Job Description:

● Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure and application environments on Google Cloud Platform

● Implement secure cloud landing zones aligned with enterprise governance and security standards

● Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Git-based delivery practices

● Deploy and manage containerized and serverless workloads using services such as Google Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Run

● Support cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy environments to Google Cloud

● Implement CI/CD pipelines to support secure and efficient software and platform delivery

● Design and maintain cloud networking architectures including VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, and firewall configurations

● Integrate core GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub into platform solutions

● Apply cloud security best practices to ensure protection of infrastructure, applications, and data

● Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization of cloud environments

● Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to enable successful cloud adoption and platform utilization

● Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in cloud architecture, automation, and platform engineering practices

Requirements:

● Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related roles

○ Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions on Google Cloud Platform

○ Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives

○ Exposure to regulated or highly governed enterprise environments is preferred

● Certifications (Preferred):

○ Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer

● Technical Knowledge

○ Cloud & Platform Expertise

■ Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform architecture and infrastructure design

■ Experience implementing secure landing zones and cloud governance frameworks

■ Proficiency in core GCP services including Compute Engine, App Engine,

Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub

○ Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering

■ Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform

■ Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices

■ Familiarity with container orchestration and serverless computing environments

○ Networking & Security

■ Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, and firewall configurations

○ Automation & Scripting

■ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for infrastructure automation and tooling
