Planning Engineer

A Planning Engineer is responsible for project scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient coordination between resources, timelines, and deliverables in engineering or construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management software.

• Monitor project progress by tracking milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.

• Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to gather information and integrate updates into the project plan.

• Perform risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.

• Prepare progress reports and documentation for management and stakeholders, highlighting schedule performance and key issues.

• Ensure compliance with project management standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.

• Support estimation and planning for manpower, equipment, and material requirements in line with project timelines.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of project management principles and scheduling techniques.

• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Lark, Monday.com or similar tools.

• Analytical skills to assess project progress and identify potential bottlenecks.

• Excellent communication and reporting skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying schedule-related issues and implementing corrective actions.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• At least a year of experience in project planning, preferably in construction, and fit-outs.
