Planning Engineer
A Planning Engineer is responsible for project scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient coordination between resources, timelines, and deliverables in engineering or construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management software.
Monitor project progress by tracking milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to gather information and integrate updates into the project plan.
Perform risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Prepare progress reports and documentation for management and stakeholders, highlighting schedule performance and key issues.
Ensure compliance with project management standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
Support estimation and planning for manpower, equipment, and material requirements in line with project timelines.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of project management principles and scheduling techniques.
Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Lark, Monday.com or similar tools.
Analytical skills to assess project progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
Excellent communication and reporting skills for effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying schedule-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
At least a year of experience in project planning, preferably in construction, and fit-outs.
